Lisa is the clinical nutritionist at The Banyans. She has been practicing as a nutritionist for the last 14 years, and has lectured at a Brisbane university on ‘Nutrition through the Lifespan’ and ‘Food as Medicine’. She is passionate about individual nutrition and has seen the evidence that there is no one-size-fits-all diet solution for optimal health.

Her advanced qualifications in psychology, neuroscience and training mean that she is a thorough source of support and learning for guests throughout their stay. She values interactive nutrition sessions, resource based learning and practical solutions to help guests overcome their underlying nutritional challenges.

Throughout your stay at The Banyans, Lisa will undertake a variety of advanced nutritional and genetic tests to allow her to build a profile of your current nutrition status and preferences. Tests explore guests’ biochemistry, allergy and food sensitivities, DNA, brain chemistry, liver function, heart health, inflammatory markers, blood nutrient levels, gut flora and gut health.

Lisa works with guests to create a personalised nutrition program to meet their dietary needs, addressing any imbalances, deficiencies, intolerances and allergies. She will also prescribe any recommended supplements and suggest a variety of lifestyle changes that can help you address these issues.

Lisa is a registered nutritionist with the Australian Natural Therapists Association.
