We have always set out to ensure patient and staff safety in everything we do, with our response to the COVID-19 pandemic likewise dedicated to the continuance of that high standard of care.
As we are located in Queensland, Australia, we at The Banyans have been following the government mandates in regard to COVID-19 with all of our staff that work on site being fully vaccinated and protocols in place for monitoring and responding to symptoms or exposures.
We continue to remain operational and dedicated to new admissions to our Residence and Day Programs – both nationally and internationally – on the condition of negative rapid antigen tests (RATs) as compulsory prior to entry. Any symptoms that could be COVID-19 related prior to being at our residence, or upon arrival, are required to be reported immediately to our Intake Team. During an arrival assessment with our registered nurses on your first day, we will also ask that patients take another RAT out of an abundance of caution. We take the safety of our guests and our staff incredibly seriously and maintaining vigilance is of paramount important to us all.
Due to our affiliation with The Banyans Medical Centre – a COVID-19 vaccine clinic – organisation of vaccines and boosters can be arranged (depending on availability) for any patient in need.
We thank all of our staff and patients for their support, understanding and care during these times to ensure safety of everyone at The Banyans.
