Dr Nathan Mueller is a consultant psychiatrist, working with those undertaking integrated day programs at The Banyans Health Plus. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004. He interned and completed a year of residency at Caboolture Hospital and Redcliffe Hospital before deciding to pursue psychiatry. Dr Mueller spent a further three-and-a-half years completing his basic psychiatry training before moving to the Royal Children’s Hospital to complete his advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr Mueller began working as a psychiatrist in 2013, working at Evolve Therapeutic Services and a community Child and Youth Mental Health Service. A year later, he moved to spend a year in the adolescent inpatient unit, working both on the ward and in the Consultation Liaison Team, at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Dr Mueller then moved to private practice where he enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults. He utilises Mentalisation Based Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, aspects of Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, and EMDR.
In his spare time, Dr Mueller enjoys woodworking and other DIY projects.
