Burnout Treatment

Clinical Care for Burnout, Without Stepping Away from Work

Burnout rarely arrives all at once. It builds over years of sustained pressure: disrupted sleep, slower thinking, irritability with the people closest to you, and a sense that the work that once energised you now only drains you.

By the time most people look for clinical support, they’ve already tried a holiday, often more than once. Our Burnout Day Program is for executives, business owners and senior professionals who need more than a standard appointment, but can’t step away from work or family.

You attend The Banyans Health Plus in Bowen Hills, or join online, one day a week over six weeks. Each treatment day brings your psychologist, clinical nutritionist and exercise physiologist together, with your sessions coordinated for you.

Burnout is more than exhaustion

What the Program Focuses On

Burnout affects sleep, thinking, mood and physical health together, and it can overlap with depression, anxiety and other conditions. Your program looks at all of this, with your clinical team meeting regularly to review your progress and refine your plan.

The Physical Toll

A medical review where clinically indicated, with pathology testing, looks at how sustained pressure has affected your sleep, energy and physical health.

The Patterns Behind It

One-on-one psychology examines the habits and pressures that led to burnout, rather than getting you back to the same patterns.

Sleep, Nutrition and Movement

Your clinical nutritionist and exercise physiologist build a meal and exercise plan that fits around your working week.

What Comes Next

Your team helps you plan what work and life could look like after the program, so the changes are ones you can sustain.

Individually designed

Program Inclusions

An initial assessment shapes how each clinician tailors their sessions. Your appointments are coordinated for you, so each treatment day runs without the admin of booking separate practitioners.

FAQs

You choose a treatment day of Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, excluding public holidays, and attend that day each week for six weeks. Each treatment day includes four to five one-on-one sessions, face to face at Bowen Hills or online via telehealth.

Your sessions are coordinated for you, so you know your schedule before you arrive.

You attend one day a week, so most people plan around it like any other regular commitment. Some use leave for their treatment day, and others arrange flexible hours.

If you’d like to talk through how to manage the program alongside your role, our intake team can help.

No. You can contact us directly. Our clinical team assesses everyone before their program starts.

We also accept referrals from GPs, psychiatrists and other health professionals.

Not unless you choose to tell them. Your information is handled confidentially and only shared with your consent, or where the law requires it.

All treatment is one-on-one, with no group therapy, so you won’t share sessions with anyone else.

A standard appointment usually means one clinician for about an hour. On each treatment day, you see several clinicians, including psychology, clinical nutrition and exercise physiology, in one place.

Your team meets regularly to review your progress, so your care is coordinated rather than split across separate appointments.

Our intake team will give you a clear, all-inclusive quote after an initial conversation, so you know exactly what’s included before you commit to anything.

Our programs are not claimable through private health insurance or Medicare.

Our intake team can talk you through the payment options available.

The day program suits people who are managing day to day but need structured clinical support. If your symptoms are severe, or you’re finding it hard to function at work or home, our intake team may recommend a residential program instead. Our residential programs offer 3–6 one-on-one sessions each weekday, depending on the program, at a private residence in the Brisbane hinterland.

Many people move from a residential stay into the day program, keeping the same clinical team. Our intake team can talk you through which option suits you.

No. The Burnout Day Program is psychology-led, with clinical nutrition and exercise physiology.

If psychiatric review or a medication review would help, our Mental Health Day Program runs over eight weeks and includes psychiatry. Your intake team will recommend the right program after a clinical assessment.
