Mental Health Day Program

Structured Mental Health Care, Without Putting Life on Pause

Weekly appointments with a single practitioner can only go so far. When anxiety, low mood, trauma or stress are affecting work, relationships or sleep, you may need more support than a one-hour session allows, without stepping away from your life to get it.

Our Mental Health Day Program brings your treating team together in one place. Each treatment day includes one-on-one sessions with your psychologist, clinical nutritionist and exercise physiologist, with psychiatry sessions across the program. Your team reviews your progress and refines your plan as you go.

You choose a treatment day of Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and attend for eight weeks, face to face at The Banyans Health Plus in Bowen Hills or online. The program can stand alone, or follow on from a residential stay.

One program, two ways to attend

No. You can contact us directly. Our psychiatrists and clinical team assess everyone before their program starts.

A standard appointment usually means one clinician for about an hour. On each treatment day, you see several clinicians, including psychology, clinical nutrition and exercise physiology, with psychiatry sessions across the program.

Your team meets regularly to review your progress, so your care is coordinated rather than split across separate appointments.

Our intake team will give you a clear, all-inclusive quote after an initial conversation, so you know exactly what’s included before you commit to anything.

The day program suits people who are managing day to day but need structured clinical support. If your symptoms are severe, or you’re finding it hard to function at work or home, our intake team may recommend a residential program instead. Our residential programs offer 3–6 one-on-one sessions each weekday, depending on the program, at a private residence in the Brisbane hinterland.
